New York Giants and the Economy

I have to say that I have been very surprised by what the Giants have done with the last couple of  playoff games.  They have surprised plenty of fans with their great offense and a superb defense to demolish the mighty Green Bay Packers.  Even if you are not a big football fan, it’s a great time to be a New Yorker and especially as a Giants Fan.  I honestly, believe that the Giants can go all the way and eventually win the Superbowl this year.

The day the Giants played against the Packers oddly enough was also my Big Day (Birthday).  I just spent the day with my family and several of my close friends in the house with some good food and of course, some Giants football.  And I have to say, it was a great day, with the Giants win being the best present handsdown : )

A trip to the Superbowl can be major boom to our New York Economy.   Aside from the usual (increase) ticket sales (for next season), there would also be a surge of increase in sales of NY Giants apparel such as jerseys, clothes, jackets, hats & etc.  Plenty of New Yorkers will be going out to bars and restaurants to celebrate which means more revenue and more local jobs for New York.  Another big factor that I think will have an impact, involves the Emotional Impact and the boost in the morale within the fans and New Yorkers everywhere.  Supervisors and their co-workers will be able to come together as sport fans and share the happiness and joy of New York Giants football bringing everyone closer as a community resulting in more productivity in workers throughout the entire state.

It sure is a great start for the year for New York and for Rockland County.
