A Tallman Park Adventure

A day at Tallman’s Park in Piermont

 .

Everyone in Rockland County is so blessed to have all these amazing and gorgeous state parks very close by (in their backyard).  I always believed that nature has a big impact in helping me relieve some stress of the daily grind in life.  Plenty of studies have shown the positive impact of nature towards our well-being.

Research reveals that environments can increase or reduce our stress, which in turn impacts our bodies. What you are seeing, hearing, experiencing at any moment is changing not only your mood, but how your nervous, endocrine, and immune systems are working.

Being in nature, or even viewing scenes of nature, reduces anger, fear, and stress and increases pleasant feelings. Exposure to nature not only makes you feel better emotionally, it contributes to your physical wellbeing, reducing blood pressure, heart rate, muscle tension, and the production of stress hormones.

Plenty of people are not aware of Tallman’s Park, but it actually is quite a very nice and beautiful park.

The trails are quite serene and are very pleasant to hike.

I really enjoyed how the shade from the trees made everything somewhat moderately cool regardless of the very hot and warm weather during that day.

There were plenty of cyclist in and around the park.

Make sure to be a good citizen and follow the rules when you are at the park.
